Fantastic work. I really liked the use of power-ups, I'm always glad to see levels that don't utilize the sticky mechanism for everything.

Is there a F-Type ship in the worX?
Great level! Specifically, I like that it's not too hard on Rookie, has great variety of elements to the level and a nice tribute to R-Type. On the boss, it's nice to finally be able to line up a shot to his weak spot! First powerup is kinda hard to grab facing forward, though. Still, great level!

Stage 2 is well underway, and will hopefully live up to Stage 1.
There is no F-Type ship under construction at the moment -there are already some very cool versions of the R-9 that have been made that I've been using myself. If I can come up with a good original design, then perhaps.
Force Pod facing is going to be something of an inherent problem, since pretty much everything rotates after being blasted. It is possible to hit the walker in such a way that the pod has more airtime, making it easier to catch. Stage 2 has a leveled up force pod, with prongs to catch onto your ship to make the facing challenge easier.
This level is absolutely amazing. I love that you made use of power-ups rather than the katamari effect. It shows a diversity of possibilities for level-design in the game. Great job, I can't wait to see more.

I liked it, but its really hard and I havnt gotten through it yet, still really good though.
